Quality Assurance Lab Technician

Overview
We’re a successful automotive chemical products company looking for a qualified Quality Assurance Lab Technician to assist our production team.

As the Quality Assurance Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, consistency, and excellence of our products across our manufacturing facility. Working closely with our production team to interpret results, identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and continuously improve product quality. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in chemical analysis directly supports operational success and consumer trust in a globally recognized brand.

The successful candidate should be a creative thinker with competent technical education and background, complimented with good hands-on laboratory experience.

Duties

• Responsible for performing laboratory quality control testing of raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products. Verify data measured against specification and determine acceptability.
• Discuss results and findings with the Production Manager and Chemical Compounder, and recommend any required corrective actions as needed.
• Generate technical reports, standard operating procedures, and other internal and external reports as needed.
• Participate in regular communications with upper management regarding quality control.
• Government regulatory reporting.
• Maintain a clean working area/laboratory.
• Always maintain & follow Good Laboratory Practices.

Requirements

• A college degree in either Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science is preferred.
• At least one year of experience is required.
• Ability to properly measure and follow proper mixing procedures.
• Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot batch and make corrections.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• A proven track record of managing and completing multiple tasks simultaneously and managing the resources needed to meet established goals and work schedules.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.

Pay: $24.36 per hour
