Quality Assurance Lead Consultant

About the Role

The IT Lead QA Consultant will lead quality assurance efforts across application development initiatives, ensuring software solutions meet business requirements, performance expectations, and release standards. This role will work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to drive testing strategy, defect management, and overall delivery quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA strategy and testing activities for ongoing application development projects
• Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test execution cycles
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Track, document, and help resolve defects through the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
• Support release readiness and quality reporting
• Promote QA best practices and continuous improvement across projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of formal education

Required Skills

• Experience leading software quality assurance efforts in enterprise application environments
• Strong knowledge of test planning, test execution, and defect management
• Experience supporting application development and system enhancements
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in Agile or similar delivery environments
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
