Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day quality assurance activities, including the organ and tissue donor chart review process. This role manages the quality assurance team and ensures the accuracy and completeness of donor records to meet all regulatory requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager also ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standard operating policies and procedures (SOPPs) related to donor documentation.

  • Reporting to the Director of Organizational Excellence, this role is primarily M-F, with 2-3 days in office.
  • In this role, you will participate in leadership meetings and drive departmental performance improvement. Providing leadership and guidance to quality assurance employees.
  • Promote and ensure activities of a comprehensive quality program.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Organizational Excellence and the Regulatory Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and legislative standards (i.e., AATB, FDA, AOPO, UNOS, and CMS).
  • Utilize various Performance Excellence methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Quality Management- minimum of five years’ experience in a regulatory environment or clinical/hospital setting required, with a preference for quality assurance or medical records experience.
  • Leadership- three years of experience leading a diverse team, preferred
  • Communication- ability to partner among all levels of staff and leadership
  • Confidentiality- act with high ethical standards, solid judgement-making, and discretion for the sensitive nature of our organizational information
