Role Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager ensures compliance with all Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory requirements. They work collectively to develop, train, and monitor activities supporting the specific requirements with individuals who are responsible for completion of the processes and documentation. They mentor other team members in Food Safety and Quality initiatives. They must have a working knowledge of regulatory compliance, GFSI auditing standards and HACCP/HARPC requirements.
The QA Manager partners cross-functionally with Production, R&D, and Operations to drive a culture of food safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality products. This role requires a highly visible, hands-on presence on the production floor, with flexibility to support all shifts and critical operations.

Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Technical Knowledge - detailed knowledge of product manufacturing including specification development based on facility capabilities.
· Communication Skills - excellent verbal, written and oral ability to provide actionable reports on projects.
· Budget/Cost Control - general understanding of departmental budgeting and cost control functions.
· Judgement/Decision Making - ability to make appropriate business judgements and decisions independently. Demonstrated ability to perform strategic thinking and planning.
