Position Overview
This position exists to manage Quality Assurance for Geosynthetic products manufactured at Solmax Ringgold manufacturing facility that includes Wovens and Non-Wovens. This role is intended to supervise and coordinate activities of lab staff engaged in performing lab quality testing and reporting as per GAI-LAP (Geosynthetic Institute - Laboratory Accreditation Program) and internal Solmax requirements. The Quality Manager shall ultimately be accountable for the effectiveness of the ISO Quality 9001:2015 management system for the facility. This position also helps support Product Management through the creation and management of new SKUs
Essential Job Functions

Supports and ensures a safe work environment for all Associates.

Responsible for ensuring products produced in the Ringgold facility meet or exceed customer requirements and comply with product specifications.

Directs the Quality Laboratory personnel, functions and procedures.

Ensures the Ringgold facility complies with ISO 9001 and supports ISO 14001.

Ensures the Ringgold Quality Laboratory complies with GAI-LAP, AASHTO, CE Marking, and BNQ processes.

Manages and reports quality for continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.

Manages the Corrective Actions and Customer Complaints within the site.

Promotes quality improvement to increase quality awareness in Manufacturing areas.

Ensures adequate resources, including testing and test equipment, are available within the Ringgold facility.

Supports Product Development effort during experimental trials and provides necessary information for new or existing products.

Responsible for SKU creation and management and product data implementation in SAP.

Ensuring accuracy and completeness of master data and bill of materials.

Supports the S&OP process.

Creates product specifications and maintains accuracy of Technical Data Sheets.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
-
Min 4 year experience in lab or manufacturing environment.

Good communications skills.
-
Experience in Minitab, MS Office, ERP (SAP).

Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and techniques.
