Quality Assurance Manager TITLE: Quality Assurance Manager (cGMP)

LOCATION: Portland, OR (On-Site)

PAY: Target pay for this role is $75,000–$95,000 per year but may vary based on experience

ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Direct Hire

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Our client is a Portland-based aromatics manufacturer looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to take full ownership of their quality systems, compliance, and documentation across all internal and external operations. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you'll be the primary driver of quality culture at a growing company — working directly alongside senior leadership to shape standards and KPIs across every department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Owning and maintaining all QA documentation, records, SOPs, flowcharts, and logs using Safety Chain, Katana, and Google Drive
  • Monitoring and ensuring cGMP compliance across material, manufacturing, packaging, and equipment processes
  • Preparing for and executing compliance inspections and audits
  • Tracking finished goods, quality issues, and rejected/returned products
  • Training and guiding employees on required cGMP operations and daily quality practices
  • Collaborating cross-departmentally to develop and maintain quality standards and KPIs
  • Providing end-of-day operational summaries and reports to senior leadership
  • Serving as the primary QA point of contact for internal departments and leadership

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience working in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment (aromatics, cosmetics, food & beverage, nutraceuticals, cannabis, or similar preferred)
  • Proficiency managing quality systems, records, SOPs, and documentation — experience with Safety Chain, Katana, or similar QMS/MRP platforms is a plus
  • Proven ability to prepare for and execute compliance audits and inspections
  • Strong cross-departmental communicator who can influence quality standards without direct authority
  • Comfortable operating as the sole QA leader in a smaller, fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and proactive about continuous improvement

Authorization to work in the US is a precondition of employment — we do not sponsor work visas. Please NO Third-Party Applicants.
