Job Summary

The QA Specialist will ensure that every vehicle processed through the terminal meets Enstructure’s quality standards and our customers’ (OEMs, importers, logistics partners) expectations. This covers inbound receipt, yard/staging, accessory/work-order fulfillment, pre-delivery inspection (PDI) or terminal inspection, documentation, and outbound shipment. The role emphasizes zero-damage handling, adherence to procedures, thorough inspections, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct systematic vehicle inspections at various processing stages: inbound receipt, staging, pre-shipping/ready-to-ship.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of work orders, inspection logs, damage reports, accessory installation checklists, and shipping documentation.
  • Identify, document, and report any defects, damage (cosmetic or mechanical), process deviations, or unmet standards.
  • Audit and monitor workmanship of accessory installation or rework teams (if applicable) to ensure installations are compliant with OEM or customer specifications.
  • Support root-cause analyses of recurring quality issues and collaborate with operations/maintenance/logistics to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Enstructure’s terminal & yard standard operating procedures (SOPs), OEM/customer specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality meetings, training terminal staff & technicians, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the vehicle-processing workflow.
  • Maintain inspection tools, digital QA logs, dashboards, or reporting systems; provide actionable metrics (e.g., damage rate, rework rate, hold/back-order rate).
  • Assist in client audits (OEM, logistics partners) and support readiness for site inspections.
  • Collaborate with operations, yard management, truck/driver dispatch teams, and shipping/export departments to maintain flow without sacrificing quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver’s LicenseRequired
  • Ability to operate an automatic and manual transmission vehicle - Required
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination

Experience:

  • Previous experience in auto accessory installation, automotive repair, or related mechanical work is strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate’s degree, technical training, or certification in automotive, logistics, or quality preferred.
  • 2-4 years of quality assurance, inspection, or vehicle processing experience — ideally in port terminal/auto logistics / finished vehicle handling environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cosmetic, structural, and mechanical issues on vehicles.
  • Familiarity with vehicle processing operations (receiving, staging, vehicle yard, accessory installation, pre-delivery inspection, shipping).
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes, corrective-action workflows, root-cause analysis; familiarity with lean or Six Sigma concepts is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with digital inspection/reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work across operations/maintenance/logistics teams.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor terminal/yard environment, under varying weather, and climb in/out of vehicles for inspection.
  • Valid driver’s license; clean driving record; ability to move about the yard safely.

Performance Indicators:

  • Reduction in vehicle damage occurrence and rework rate.
  • Accuracy/timeliness or QA inspections, documentation, and reporting.
  • Compliance with OEM/customer specifications and terminal quality metrics.
  • Number of corrective actions completed and effectiveness of implemented improvements.
  • Zero major quality non-conformances at customer audits or facility inspections.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:


  • Ability to regularly stand, walk long distances, and talk and hear.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms to grab, handle, feel, and reach.
  • Ability to occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders or stairs.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • You must wear the required safety PPE, Safety vest, hard hat, gloves, etc.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working indoors and outdoors.
  • Excessive heat or cold, extreme weather conditions, excessive humidity or dampness or chilling.
  • Slippery and uneven walking surfaces.
  • Work around machinery with moving parts.
  • Work around moving objects, vehicles, and moving machinery/heavy equipment.

Monday - Friday, Weekends and Holidays as needed, Overtime, and extended schedules of 6 to 7 consecutive days during peak operations.
