Mechanical QAQC Engineer

Job Purpose:

The QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and related systems) are executed in accordance with project specifications, codes, and client requirements. The role includes inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with consultants, clients, and site teams to maintain the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and checklists for mechanical works.
• Review IFC drawings, material submittals, and method statements to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Conduct inspections for installation of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and specialized industrial systems.
• Coordinate with consultants/clients for inspections, approvals, and quality-related meetings.
• Monitor subcontractor works and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Conduct site audits, surveillance inspections, and issue NCRs when required.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of mechanical systems (chilled water, ducting, piping, pumps, fire suppression).
• Ensure calibration and proper use of testing equipment.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including MIRs, IRs, NCRs, and reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in QA/QC mechanical engineering, with at least 7 years in UAE .
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and piping systems.
