Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer

Job Objective

Ensuring the quality of engineering deliverables and technical testing by reviewing and approving documents issued by the technical office, developing and updating testing procedures and inspection checklists, and performing Pre‑Commissioning tests to verify that systems and equipment comply with project requirements and approved standards. This contributes to enhancing execution efficiency, reducing errors, and achieving the highest levels of quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve drawings, designs, and specifications issued by the technical office.
  • Verify that materials and engineering deliverables comply with approved standards and codes.
  • Prepare and review Testing Procedures .
  • Develop and update Inspection Checklists .
  • Perform Pre‑Commissioning tests for systems and equipment.
  • Document test results and issue quality reports.
  • Follow up on corrective actions in cases of non‑conformities.
  • Coordinate with engineering and execution teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field).
  • Practical experience in QA/QC within engineering or construction projects.
  • Good knowledge of international standards and codes such as ISO, ASTM, NFPA , etc.
  • Ability to prepare and review testing procedures and inspection checklists.
  • Strong skills in documentation and technical reporting.


Required Skills

  • Strong technical review and auditing skills.
  • Ability to analyze engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Good knowledge of testing procedures and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical reports and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Engineering Deliverables Review Accuracy — Percentage of documents reviewed with no errors or comments.
  • Document Review Timeliness — Completing reviews within the required timeframe.
  • Quality of Testing Procedures — Completeness and clarity of procedures and checklists.
  • Pre‑Commissioning Execution Rate — Percentage of completed tests compared to the plan.
  • NCR Closure Speed — Average time required to close non‑conformity reports.
  • Technical Report Quality — Number of comments received on submitted reports.
  • Quality Standards Compliance — Number of violations or non‑conformities detected.
  • Coordination Effectiveness — Satisfaction level of other project teams regarding collaboration.
