Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Overview

*Morning Shift* 6 am - 12 pm
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our diagnostic laboratory team.

In this role, you will ensure that all requisition forms and tests requested by clientele have been entered properly.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive quality checks of requisition forms received, ensuring client test requests were entered correctly by our day and night shift Accessioning teams.
• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the quality assurance role.
• Assist in root cause analysis for data entry errors, ensuring proper documentation and resolution through effective problem-solving techniques and notifying respective personnel of corrections needed, errors made, or client outreach required.
• Assist with quality audits, preparing reports, or metrics analysis.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting is highly preferred, with knowledge of laboratory management and procedures, medical terminology, specimen processing, or data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, LIS systems).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
