Quality Assurance Specialist

Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role in supporting Quality Systems in a GMP-regulated environment by ensuring that products are manufactured in compliance with established procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards under 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211.

Job Requirements

  • Support evaluation of new and existing formulations by performing testing, including pH, viscosity, specific gravity, appearance, and odor, to establish and verify product specifications and standards.
  • Execute and support stability programs, including sample placement, scheduled pulls, testing, and documentation in accordance with QA and QC.
  • Analyze stability and quality data to identify trends, recognize patterns of instability, and support continuous improvement of formulations and manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare stability summaries and provide data-driven recommendations to support product approval, release, or ongoing monitoring based on accelerated, historical, and retained sample data.
  • Maintain and verify accuracy of logbooks and records, including equipment calibration, cleaning logs, and laboratory documentation.
  • Conduct and support investigations, including deviations, out-of-specification results, and non-conformances.
  • Review, update, and maintain SOPs, forms, and controlled documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211. Review stability data to identify patterns of instability and support improvements to formulations and processes, while maintaining and updating related documentation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with relevant experience in a regulated industry or equivalent progressive experience in a GMP-regulated environment, such as pharmaceutical or cosmetic manufacturing.
