Quality Assurance / Expo (Food Expeditor)
Position Summary
The QA/Expo serves as the final checkpoint between the kitchen and our guests. This position is responsible for ensuring every plate is accurate, complete, properly presented, and delivered in a timely manner. The QA/Expo acts as the communication bridge between the kitchen and front of house, helping maintain smooth service during both slow and high-volume shifts.
Responsibilities
- Verify all food orders for accuracy before leaving the kitchen
- Ensure plates are properly garnished, portioned, and presented according to restaurant standards
- Organize and prioritize tickets to maintain efficient food flow
- Communicate clearly with cooks and servers regarding modifications, allergies, and special requests
- Monitor ticket times and alert management to delays or issues
- Assist with running food when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized expo line throughout service
- Ensure all side items, sauces, and accompaniments are included before orders leave the kitchen
- Help identify and correct mistakes before they reach guests
- Support both front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences
Qualifications
- Restaurant experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

We are looking for someone who takes pride in details, thrives under pressure, and understands that the guest experience depends on getting every plate right.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
