Quality Assurance Specialist (Logistics Operations)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support and enhance the quality of our logistics and warehouse operations in Laredo, Texas. This role is responsible for monitoring operational processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse and transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities

Process Monitoring & Quality Control

• Monitor daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
• Ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage, loss, or mislabeling
• Conduct random inspections and audits of shipments and inventory
• Verify order accuracy prior to dispatch to ensure compliance with customer requirements

Transportation Quality Assurance

• Oversee truck loading processes to ensure cargo is properly secured and handled
• Ensure drivers adhere to loading plans, routing, and documentation requirements
• Review delivery reports and proof-of-delivery (POD) documents for accuracy and completeness

Issue Investigation & Resolution

• Investigate operational issues, including:
• Damaged goods
• Missing shipments
• Late deliveries
• Incorrect orders
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and prevent recurrence

Process Improvement

• Identify inefficiencies and gaps in warehouse and transportation processes
• Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce errors, delays, and operational risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
• 2–5+ years of experience in quality assurance, logistics, warehouse operations, or similar role
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes and transportation operations
• Experience in auditing, inspections, and root cause analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
