Key Responsibilities
Conduct QA laboratory operations including startup/shutdown procedures, sample testing, beaker blending, and basic QA/QC analyses following ASTM, JIS, and internal ILA methods.
Accurately enter, review, and manage test data, specifications, batches, and documentation while maintaining organized electronic records and databases.
Serve as a key liaison between customers, sales, and QA/QC teams by communicating test results, supporting troubleshooting, and addressing quality or application concerns.
Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and safety standards through preventative maintenance, basic calibrations, proper material disposal, PPE use, and housekeeping.
Support quality systems and compliance initiatives, including IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 audits, cross‑check testing, QC support, non‑hazardous shipments, and R&D requests.
What You’ll Need To Succeed As A Quality Assurance Technician
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
1–3 years of laboratory experience.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and basic use of SAP and SharePoint; Microsoft Access knowledge is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external customers.
Solid problem‑solving, mathematical, and analytical abilities.
Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to perform accurately in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.
Strong organization and time‑management skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
Comfortable working in and around a chemical laboratory environment.
Professional, courteous, and respectful attitude toward colleagues.
Ability to present ideas logically and contribute in a consensus‑based decision‑making environment.
Proactively seeks additional responsibilities and demonstrates sound judgment in laboratory situations.
