We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires an eye for detail and the ability to think critically and troubleshoot any issues that arise. The Quality Assurance Technician will be expected to analyze data, conduct tests, and inspect products to ensure that they meet the company's standards. The Quality Assurance Technician reports to the Quality Manager and the work is primarily involved with control of quality and reliability of products repaired or assembled. This position will perform duties to determine that materials, products and processes are in accordance within the specifications and requirements. May guide quality efforts in the production or repair areas

Responsibilities:
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
- Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Use test equipment and gauges as required.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations
- Document/track quality and inspection findings.
- Utilize engineering drawings, electrical schematics, BOM’s and other documents as required.
- Assist in the assembly or repair process as needed.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control
- Teach the production team about quality concerns to improve product excellence
- Collect, analyze, and summarize statistical quality data for improvement purposes.
- Correct drawing discrepancies and provide clarifications to the necessary departments
- Interface with engineering and product teams.
Required Skills:
- Be able to use and understand how to use Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, Hi-Pot, Vectorscope, mechanical measurement gauges, etc.)
- Be able to read, understand and communicate the English language, both verbally and in writing
- Requires good oral and written communication skills to interact with other employees
- Mathematical skills
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, etc.
- Must be able to pay attention to detail in all aspects of job
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows suite of programs – i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook; and other software programs specific to the job and company
- Able to use hand tools and troubleshoot products as needed.
Required Experience and Education
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of quality processes
- Minimum 2-year experience in electronic technology and manufacturing.
Preferred Skills and Education:
- Associates degree or higher in Engineering or Electronics.
- 4 years of electronic assembly/repair experience
- Knowledge of quality systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and will regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above shoulders
- Will regularly talk, listen, and move from place to place and will frequently use hands to finger, handle, or touch.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus and use of computers and testing
