Quality Assurance Tester

Smart State Inc. is growing! We’re looking for a Manual QA Tester to join our New Jersey-based Product & R&D team. If you’re passionate about catching issues before they reach users and enjoy working closely with developers and product managers, this is your opportunity to make a visible impact on product reliability and user experience.

📍 Location : Fort Lee, NJ (100% On-site)

⏰ Work Mode: Full-time (Remote/Hybrid not available)

💰 Compensation : $75,000 to $95,000 (based on experience)

The Role 🛠️

As a Manual QA Tester, you’ll be responsible for testing our web applications end-to-end. You’ll design test cases, manage defects, and help shape how we approach quality across the product lifecycle.

What You’ll Do 🚀

• Test web applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans and test cases.
• Log, track, and verify defects in our bug-tracking system.
• Collaborate with the project team to clarify requirements and support high-quality releases.

What We’re Looking For 🎯

• 5+ years of experience in software testing.
• Strong understanding of testing processes, methodologies, and standards.
• Experience with web project testing and defining test scope and approach.
• Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with tools like JIRA.
• Intermediate English and strong communication skills.
