Job Title: QC Technician (Food Manufacturing)

Position Summary:
The QA/QC Technician is responsible for ensuring that food products meet quality and safety standards in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. This role supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of HACCP plans, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety programs to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance. Hours are 1:00AM-8:30AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections-pre op check list and audits of production processes, sanitation, and equipment to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) in accordance with HACCP plans.
- Maintain and update food safety documentation, including SOPs, quality manuals, and corrective action logs.
- Collect and analyze samples (raw materials, in-process, and finished products) for physical, chemical, and microbiological testing.
- Assist in investigating non-conformances, customer complaints, and deviations; participate in root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory and QA equipment.
- Participate in internal and external audits (FDA, USDA, third-party).
- Support employee training on quality and food safety procedures.
- Maintain records for traceability, product release, and quality verification.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Check Samples of completed finished goods.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing QA/QC role.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, FSMA), and GMP standards.
- Experience with document control, SOPs, and food safety audits.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with QA software is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
