Quality Checker

We are a leading firm in the manufacturing sector based in Dubai, committed to excellence and innovation. We are looking for a Quality Checker to join our dynamic team immediately.

Job Description:

• Assuring Rolling of pipes as per Mill Production Program/Plan/Work Order/TDC/PO.
• Overall Quality checks, like dimensions, flattening, and bend tests at the mill.
• Co-ordination with the Mill operator/Supervisor regarding quality aspects of pipes.
• Identifying defects of pipes like weld cracks, bends, seam corners, short length, Size/ dimensions variations, etc.
• Calibrating the online NDT machine at the Mill (It must be calibrated during every shift).
• Daily check Cut weld oil with Refractometer and communicate with production to maintain and preserve every shifty 1 pipe sample (300mm) in the sample wrack for observation of cutting oil.
• During running mill check Slits used for each thickness and enter the details in feeder report.
• Assuring OK and non-conforming products are properly identified at Mill stage.
• Assuring end facing, slitting, straightening, and hydro-testing of pipes are as per standard and customer requirements.
• Providing TAGS with exact information/status of the pipes/bundles.
• Preparing the Daily Mill Inspection Report in the same shift.
• Daily send pipe/slit sample to workshop for cutting. Accordingly, prepare a sample.
• Refer TDC, WO & Program for inspection as per customer requirement.
• Implement and maintain proper guidelines as to safety, safekeeping, and cleanliness for subordinates.
• Proper relaying/exchanging details with other supervisors along with all details.
• Perform any other job assignment as instructed by immediate HOD.

Job Qualifications:

• HSE or relevent experience is Mandatory
• At least 2 years of experience is_ Mandatory_
• Safety Awareness, Internal Process, ASTM A53, A500, EN 39, EN 10219 & EN 10255
