Quality Control Associate/Specimen Collector

Searching for a qualified Quality Control Associate: The Field Specimen Collector/Quality Control Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely collection, labeling, and initial processing of biological specimens such as urine, and oral swabs. This role is essential in supporting diagnostic testing by ensuring sample integrity and compliance with strict laboratory protocols. A Quality Control Associate works directly with medical clinics and patients to assure that specimens sent to our Northern CA laboratory facility are collected and packaged appropriately with all the required information and documentation. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and strict adherence to protocols to ensure specimen integrity and patient confidentiality. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of toxicology testing processes. Field Specimen Processors serve as the first point of contact in the testing process, making professionalism and accuracy paramount to a successful outcome. QC Associates are HIPAA-trained and certified personnel who can review and upload reporting and work with the clinic staff in the documentation, packaging, and shipping of laboratory specimens. (Urine and Oral Swab) HIPAA training is provided. QC Associate works and reports directly to the local account manager.

This is a Full Time AM position 5AM-1:30PM

Requirements: Background in medical field ideal. High school diploma or equivalent, minimum. Medical Assistant, CNA, Toxicology, Lab collector, Substance Use Disorder Programs, or Pain Management experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate ability to interact appropriately with medical staff, clinic staff and patients, excellent communication and organization skills and be able to work independently in a fast paced environment. Travel required to 5–6 clinic sites across San Diego County for specimen pickups.

Salary: $21 per hour
