We are seeking a skilled Quality Control cum Technical Officer to oversee quality assurance while providing technical support to ensure smooth production operations.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Control cum Technical Officer who combines strong quality control expertise with technical knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications while providing technical troubleshooting support to maintain production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control:

  • Inspect raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods to ensure quality standards
  • Perform quality checks using measuring instruments and testing equipment
  • Verify products meet specifications and customer requirements
  • Identify defects, non-conformances, and quality issues throughout production
  • Record inspection data accurately and maintain comprehensive quality documentation
  • Report non-conformities to management and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times
  • Prepare quality reports and documentation for customers and management
  • Conduct incoming material inspections and supplier quality assessments
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits

Technical Support:

  • Monitor production machines and processes as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Troubleshoot minor and major technical processing issues affecting product quality
  • Provide technical guidance to production team to maintain quality standards
  • Support production team in identifying root causes of quality problems
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and consistency
  • Coordinate with production supervisors to resolve technical quality issues
  • Support smooth production flow by preventing quality-related disruptions

General Responsibilities:

  • Train production staff on quality standards and procedures
  • Support implementation of preventive and corrective measures
  • Maintain calibration records of quality control equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are met

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management, or related technical field
  • 2-4 years of experience in quality control in plastics manufacturing or related industry
  • Strong understanding of plastic materials, properties, processing, and testing methods
  • Technical knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes (extrusion, injection molding, etc.)
  • Experience with quality control methods, testing procedures, and standards
  • Proficiency in using measuring and testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace (Excel/Gsheet for data analysis)
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment and coordinate with production teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Experience with various plastic types (PE, PP, PVC, etc.) and their applications
  • Deep understanding of plastic processing parameters and their impact on quality
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Quality auditor certification
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC)
  • Hindi/Urdu language skills for effective communication with production teams
  • Background in technical troubleshooting in manufacturing environment
