Quality Control Engineer (Civil)

India

Responsbilities :

  • Quality Assurance & Control
  • Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Conduct inspections for civil works (concrete, reinforcement, formwork, finishing, etc.).
  • Verify and approve construction materials, ensuring they meet project standards.
  • Testing & Documentation
  • Witness and record field/lab tests (concrete cube tests, slump tests, soil compaction, etc.).
  • Maintain calibration records of testing equipment.
  • Prepare quality reports, checklists, and test logs.
  • Non-Conformance & Corrective Action
  • Identify and report deviations/non-conformance (NCRs).
  • Coordinate with site engineers and contractors to ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • Follow up on closure of NCRs within stipulated timelines.
  • Coordination & Compliance
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors for quality-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, IS codes, project specifications, and company QMS procedures.
  • Support audits and client inspections at site.
  • Training & Awareness
  • Guide site teams and contractors on quality standards and procedures.
  • Promote awareness of quality culture across site staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with site teams and clients
  • 1-5 years of experience in quality control/assurance in civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of IS codes, QA/QC procedures, and testing methods.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (for checking drawings), and report preparation.
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
