01. Carry-out document control as per the established QC procedures.
02. Keep control of documents by developing and updating the register for quality control procedures.
03.Knowledge in TEMA, ASME Sec VIII Div I & II, API 661 and other international codes and standards.
04. Report Non-Conformance with reference to applicable acceptance criteria, to carry out corrective action and closing NCR's with required back up documents if required.
05. Update calibration summary and monitor calibration of measuring instruments or devices. Keep calibration records up to date.
06. Verification of incoming material with relevant documents or certificates from the supplier or subcontractor/vendor.
07. Inspect fabrication activities at different stages, preparation of records and final inspection before deliver.
08. Preparation of QC dossiers or manufacturer data records for the completed items and all relevant records, test certificates etc.
09. Liaise with TPI/AI/Client inspector for stage inspection to obtain product certification as per applicable codes and standards.
10. Preparation of Quality plan (ITP / QCP).
11. Coordinate with: - NDT / DT companies for testing and examination; Subcontractors place for inspection; External/internal and client auditors for successful audits.
12. Liaise with the relevant PIP personnel and appraise projected completion targets, which must be met or improved upon. Any anticipated delay to be brought to the attention of the Technical Manager/Department Manager.
13.Oversee the work of the NDT Inspector and Welding/QC Inspector to ensure their work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
14.Support, adhere and promote the QHSE policy of the company, along with its ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and ISO9001 principles.
15. Review of welding procedures.
16. Periodic checking / monitoring of the established Quality System.
17. Maintain PIP’s accreditations with ASME / National Board ensuring the highest standards.
18. Ensure minimal / no NCR’s in the internal & external audits with respect to QA/QC.
19. Provide assistance to Sales and Proposals team on Quality requirements during the bidding process.
20.Knowledge in TEMA, ASME Sec VIII Div I & II, API 661 and other international codes and standards.
Qualification & Education:
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant Welding Inspector / NDT qualifications.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
Experience:
- Minimum Five years work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Understanding and knowledgeable of Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger Industry.
