Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing food safety and hygiene policies, procedures, and standards across all departments.
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections and daily walk-throughs of kitchens and food production areas.
- Monitor compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and UAE food safety regulations.
- Maintain and update all food safety and hygiene documentation, records, and logs.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring readiness.
- Report non-conformities and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in microbiological sampling coordination with third-party laboratories.
- Ensure proper filing and record-keeping in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support investigation of guest complaints related to food safety and hygiene, including food poisoning cases.
- Track hygiene-related issues, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to management.
- Assist in conducting food safety risk assessments and identifying areas for improvement.
- Participate in hygiene committee meetings and maintain minutes and follow-up actions.
- Deliver basic food hygiene training and refresher sessions to staff (if certified).
- Ensure hygiene training records are maintained and up to date.
- Monitor supplier hygiene compliance and assist in supplier audits when required.
- Ensure proper implementation of waste management, cleaning schedules, and sanitation practices.
- Coordinate hygiene-related testing and ensure timely communication of results.
- Support stock control and distribution of hygiene-related materials and equipment.
- Promote hygiene awareness and best practices among employees.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Head Chef or General Manager.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in Food Safety, Hygiene, or Quality Assurance within hospitality or food industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and UAE food safety regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
