Quality Control Inspector

About Us:
Brakewell Steel Inc is an innovative steel fabrication shop providing custom metal fabrication and welding. We are seeking a proactive Quality Control Inspector to help maintain our reputation for excellence.

Job Summary:
As a QC Inspector, you will walk the shop floor to inspect in-process fabrications, assist with troubleshooting fabrication issues, and ensure compliance with blueprints and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct visual weld inspections and dimensional checks on steel components.
• Inspect fit-up, welding, and final assembly stages.
• Document inspections and track non-conforming materials.
• Provide feedback to fabricators on repairs required to meet standards.
• Use company tablets/software to input inspection data.

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in quality assurance, welding, or fabrication.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, weld symbols, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with MIG/TIG/Stick welding processes.
• Being a CWI is a major advantage

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
