Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector position is responsible for inbound, in-process, and outbound inspection.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Knowledge of Raw Material Grades and Specifications a Plus.
2. Ability to extrapolate criterial information from material specification for the purpose of determining inspection attributes both incoming and outgoing.
3. Inbound material inspections – Receiving Inspection
4. First piece production verification & In-Process inspections
5. Outbound Final Inspections to include use of XRF analyzer
6. Verification of all certifications against material specifications, chemistry, mechanical, etc.
7. Overall test report process verification from third party suppliers, OPA, HT, etc.
8. Adheres to the company quality management system. Maintains branch level Quality Control records, forms, procedures
9. Ability to use monitoring & measuring devises, caliper, micrometer, & tape measure.
10. Conduct & perform internal audits per schedule. AS9100 Internal Auditor certified a Plus
11. Ensure that all measuring equipment is handled per Quality procedures – calibrations. Responsible for Calibrations internally and those that are done through an external provider.
12. Strict adherence to Corporate Quality and Procedure Policies.
13. Knowledge of Stratix or other ERP system, that relates to the inspection functions, updating, QDS, PO receipts, final digital inspection, etc.
14. Maintain communication related to all quality aspects to quality supervision/management
15. Assist with Production as needed
Reports to Warehouse Manager/Quality Manger – supports production schedule
Skill Requirements:
Technical Skills - Must be able to use and understand all types of measuring equipment. Understand titanium specifications. Computer literate.
Communication skills- The ability to promote and instill a total quality control of all products within the operation. Total understanding of paperwork processing. Must be able to work as a Team Player.
Analytical Skills - Analyze and approve all material certifications. Understand customer requirements. Overall effectiveness of quality.
Management Skills - Adapt work requirements to daily schedule to maximize overall volume. Responsible for Quality Department.
