Green Leaf is looking for a Quality Control Inspector on 2nd shift (Monday – Friday 2:45 pm to 11:00 pm). This individual will provide a variety of responsibilities including:
- Performs quality inspections on products coming off machines to ensure product conforms to specifications.
- Documents all inspections in the QC checklist.
- Communicates quality related information to operators and Industrial Production Manager.
- Conducts QC lab tests as required.
- Inspects gauges, calipers, scales and other equipment.
- Acts as backup for production operators.
- Demonstrates complete job knowledge and understanding of all assemblies in assigned work area.
- Verifies proper documentation is in use, completes reports as required.
- Relieves operators for breaks.
- Works with Industrial Production Manager and others to develop/maintain quality plans.
- Trains employees to facilitate proper work methods to assure quality product is produced.
- Trains employees to perform process quality checks.
- Identifies and segregates non-conforming product.
- Maintains non-conforming product log in accordance to ISO procedures
- Performs housekeeping items to ensure the workplace is clean and free of safety concerns.
- Follows all safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, IQMS).
- Develop a very good knowledge of the product and how it works in application.
- Ability to use standard measuring equipment.
- Ability to work well with others (provide instruction, relay ideas, motivate).
- Motivated, identify opportunities for improvements, recommend and implement quality improvements.
- Ability to multitask
- Good work performance (quality and quantity of work, attendance, initiative).
