Quality Control Inspector Bilingual Paint/Construction (1 yr experience required)

Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary:
AAA Painting Contractors, Inc., a leading commercial painting and construction firm in Chicagoland, is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join our dynamic team. The Quality Control Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulations.

General Description:

Reports directly to Production Superintendent and is responsible for maintaining and achieving superior quality to assure that organization meet customer specifications. Performs routine checks and inspections of all preparation work and completed painting, construction and warranty jobs.

Essential functions:

· Reviews contract specification and other documents concerning assigned projects. Oversee paint projects as they progress.

· Set-up new jobs and review contract with the Foreman to ensure complete understanding of work to be performed to AAA and customer expectations.

· Post notices on customer’s property in a visible location for upcoming work in power washing, painting or construction needs.

· Work closely with Customer Service Department and foreman on resolving work orders in a timely manner.

· Closely interact with Foremen to resolve any problems relating to projects, safety concerns, or customer concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

· Notifies HR department of inappropriate employee attire or disciplinary action needed.

· Conducts final walk inspections with customer and foreman on a timely basis. Obtains a WCC from customer (Walk Completion Certification).

· Notifies Foreman and Production Superintendent when inspection exceeds unacceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted.

· Assist in cost estimating, ordering and delivering of materials.

· May assist in start-up of construction jobs and assist carpenters as needed.

· Attends weekly meetings with Production Superintendent and provides status updates of current projects and upcoming needs.

Non-Essential Functions:

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars and reviewing professional publications.

Experience Requirements:

· Paint/Construction quality assurance practices as they apply to individual unique products can be learned during on-the-job-training, but overall capability in this discipline must be previously demonstrated.

· Supervisory experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Must have good vision or have corrected vision with glasses or contacts.

· Strong verbal communications and organization skills required.

· Ability to work flexible schedule according to project scheduled.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, and staff.

· Ability to project a positive concerned image to the customers.

· Must be able to do a considerable amount of walking on various surfaces outside throughout the day.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and have a good sense of direction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
