We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our metals manufacturing team. Duties

  • Perform thorough quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.
  • Utilize advanced measurement tools including coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, HACCP, CGMP, and other relevant standards to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collect and analyze data related to product quality, process performance, and inspection results to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 regulations and industry-specific standards by maintaining detailed inspection records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions effectively.
  • Participate in calibration of measurement instruments and maintain calibration records to ensure measurement accuracy at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quality control or quality inspection within a metals manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems such as QA/QC protocols, quality management principles, and industry standards including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
  • Familiarity with calibration tools like calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems; experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) is highly desirable.
  • Understanding welding codes and procedures
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical data accurately and identify deviations from specifications.
  • Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions within a manufacturing setting.
  • Visual weld inspections
  • Ability to operate or be trained in the precision measuring instruments confidently and maintain meticulous inspection records.

Pay: $23.15 - $34.00 per hour
