POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible for all quality activities related to the inspection/verification of new orders and repeat orders with changes for shipment from Epec, LLC. The inspector will verify the product meets customer requirements by performing random audits on new orders and repeat orders with changes available for shipment from Epec, LLC. The QCI must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings (prints). The QCI must be experienced with mechanical inspection techniques using a variety of metrologies such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, optical comparators, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Inspections: Perform thorough inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and industry regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to identify defects or deviations from established standards. This includes conducting visual inspections, measurements, tests, and documentation of results.
- Documentation: Create and maintain accurate and comprehensive records of inspection findings, test results, and other quality-related data. Prepare detailed reports summarizing inspection outcomes.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document non-conforming products, initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs), and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve quality issues effectively.
- Equipment Calibration: Maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurement results. Notify the appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions or deviations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with Quality team to address quality-related concerns, provide feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- In addition to core responsibilities, employees are expected to assist with other tasks necessary for department or company success
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to occasionally lift or move objects that are up to 25 lbs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 6–12 months of related experience preferred
- Basic math skills required.
