Quality Control Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Brecksville, OH 44141
Duration: February 16, 2026 – August 15, 2026 (Possible for Contract Extension)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team at the MGTC site in Brecksville, Ohio. This is a temporary assignment supporting laboratory operations focused on coating technologies and paint product testing. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, analytical, and comfortable working under sustained supervision in a fast-paced lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work safely in a laboratory environment handling coating chemicals
• Prepare batches of paint and related coating products
• Perform a variety of laboratory tests on products and samples
• Analyze basic formulas and perform necessary calculations
• Prepare and test a range of coating technologies using multiple methodologies
• Support the completion of all laboratory activities at the MGTC site
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and results
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of laboratory practices and safety protocols
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under sustained supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic math and analytical skills for formula analysis and calculations
• Comfortable handling chemicals in a controlled lab setting
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on laboratory tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory or paint/coatings experience
• Associate degree or coursework in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
• Familiarity with testing equipment and data recording processes

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with all site safety regulations and PPE requirements
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work onsite in Brecksville, Ohio for the duration of the assignment

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Lab Technician: 1 year (Preferred)
