Position Overview

This position serves as the on-site representative for the American Albacore Fishing Association (AAFA) during vessel unloads at Jolly Roger Seafood in Westport, Washington. The role is responsible for implementing AAFA quality control standards and ensuring efficient coordination between vessels, trucking companies, and processing facilities. The individual in this role provides direct oversight of unloading operations and acts as the primary liaison between the fishing fleet, processor, and the AAFA administrative office.

Key Responsibilities

· Implement and monitor AAFA quality control standards during vessel unload operations.

· Oversee and coordinate the AAFA vessel unload schedule sent by Natalie (AAFA office) at Jolly Roger Seafood.

· Monitor and coordinate truck arrival schedules and container loading instructions according to Natalie’s unload schedule.

· Ensure all fish handling and unloading procedures meet AAFA quality and operational standards.

· Process fish tickets and ensure all AAFA documentation and paperwork are completed accurately.

· Submit all required paperwork and documentation to the AAFA office on the same day.

· Prepare and submit incident reports for issues such as extended truck standby times, vessel temperature concerns, or any operational irregularities.

· Maintain consistent communication with the AAFA office regarding vessel arrivals, unloading progress, truck scheduling, and container load status.

· Provide real-time updates to the office to assist with logistics and operational planning.

· Serve as AAFA’s on-site representative and operational liaison at Jolly Roger Seafood.

Compensation & Accommodations

The position is paid on an hourly basis. If the employee does not reside in Westport, Washington, AAFA will provide living accommodations during the period of work.

Role Summary

This position functions as AAFA’s 'boots on the ground' in Westport, ensuring the association’s quality standards are upheld and that unloading operations run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with fleet logistics and processor requirements.

Pay: From $4,000.00 per month
