Quality Control Prod Mgr

Summary:

The Quality Control Produce Manager ensures that the quality on all incoming Produce shipments is checked to maintain the integrity of the products maintained at the Distribution Center as well as inventory being sent to our Retail Stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect all incoming shipments of product to ensure Ultimate Service is being met by shipping quality product to our stores

• Check dates to prevent shipment of out-of-date or short dated products

• Back-up relief to Banana ripening as requested

• Inspect Distribution Center stock daily to ensure all standards are met prior to shipment

• Works collaboratively with Distribution Center personnel to maintain proper rotation and functioning of Produce department items

• Performs other duties as requested or required by supervisor
  

Key Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year experience in Retail Produce environment

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills

• Previous experience in banana ripening preferred

• Ability to work in various temperatures for periods of up to 12 hours per day

• Ability to operate various material handling equipment

• Ability to load/unload, lift/move equipment/product which may weigh up to 60 pounds

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written

• Ability to function as a team member and get along with others

• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
