Salary: $125,000 – $145,000/annually

Remote with up to 25% travel

We are seeking a Compliance Oversight Manager with a background in civil litigation to provide technical oversight for high-priority compliance inspections. This role is designed for a legal-minded professional who understands how to build a fact-based, defensible record that can withstand intense scrutiny.

This position is contingent upon future contract awards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead compliance oversight for inspection activities, ensuring all findings are supported by clear, defensible evidence aligned with federal standards.
Direct the review and validation of inspection reports and supporting documentation for adherence to GAGAS and QSI&E (Blue Book) requirements.
Evaluate inspection findings with a litigation-informed approach, ensuring documentation can withstand legal, regulatory, and administrative scrutiny.
Identify evidentiary gaps, inconsistencies, and areas of risk, and provide clear guidance for corrective action.
Synthesize inspection results into high-level risk insights, trends, and actionable recommendations for program improvement.
Establish and refine review protocols, interview methodologies, and documentation standards to strengthen overall compliance processes.
Oversee resolution of deficient deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate remediation in line with project timelines.
Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance standards, providing guidance to inspection teams and stakeholders.
Requirements:

Experience as a civil litigator or legal project manager is required; a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) is preferred.

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in high-level compliance, legal review, or federal oversight.

Proven expertise in managing quality control for performance audits or inspections under GAGAS and QSI&E (Blue Book) standards.

Advanced ability to identify evidentiary gaps and synthesize raw data into fact-based, persuasive narratives.

Exceptional technical writing and proofreading skills.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to successfully pass a Tier 2/Moderate Risk public trust fitness screening.

Must be free of any actual or perceived conflicts of interest relative to the agencies or programs under review.
