Essential Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the Food Safety Plan (SQF) for both distribution and manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure all forms and checklists are monitored, verified, completed accurately, and compliant with the Food Safety Plan.
- Maintain and update all required company forms and registers.
- Maintain training records, including Record Logs and Training Registers.
- Oversee key areas of the food safety and quality system, including:
Maintenance:
- Ensure work repair orders are created and tracked through completion.
- Monitor and verify that preventive maintenance is performed and properly documented.
Pest Control:
- Monitor pest control visits, analyze weekly reports, and prepare annual trend analyses.
Sanitation:
- Monitor facility sanitation activities.
- Ensure sanitation documentation is completed accurately.
- Verify sanitation chemicals are properly stored and adequately stocked.
Supply Chain:
- Maintain the Approved Supplier List, raw material registers, and related logs.
Allergen Management:
- Review raw materials to confirm finished product allergen declarations.
- Maintain allergen registers.
- Verify allergen changeovers, cleaning validations, and labeling accuracy.
HACCP:
- Perform sifter and metal detector checks.
- Verify annual calibration of equipment.
GMP:
- Train production personnel on GMP requirements.
- Monitor personnel practices for compliance.
- Ensure necessary supplies are ordered and available (hair nets, beard nets, gloves).
- Coordinate and document monthly SQF meetings.
- Maintain CAR files, documentation, and customer correspondence.
- Support internal and external audits (SQF, FDA, USDA, customer audits).
- Serve as backup for laboratory testing, including but not limited to sensory, pH, Bostwick, water activity, moisture, bake test, Brix, colorimeter, and ascorbic acid testing.
- Conduct annual internal audits.
- Serve as backup for inspections and checks including pre-operational inspections, changeovers, weight checks, line checks, label checks, transfers, and monthly facility inspections.
- Maintain the QA hold database.
- Oversee product sample collection and verification of test results.
- Generate and verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Inspect raw materials and verify lot numbers prior to production.
- Support Kosher program requirements, including coordination with the Rabbi during inspections.
- Assist with Halal certification requirements.
- Request export certificates (Phyto, Health Certificate, Sanitation Certificate).
- Update Eurogerm KB documents for current products.
- Coordinate with R&D on new product development initiatives.
- Monitor annual calibration of scales and metal detectors.
- Maintain CSR data and complete annual reporting requirements.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
