- Experience with thread inspection and thread gauges (API, premium, or standard threading preferred).
- QC Technician conducts inspection of parts and supplies used in the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of products.
- Quality control inspection & testing as identified throughout processes including receiving inspection, first article, in-process, and final inspection & testing for ensuring product quality. Ensures & maintains product quality & product delivery. Strives for continual improvement in meeting established quality goals or objectives.
- Duties
- Follow procedures, work orders, routers, and product drawings / specifications in order to properly perform inspection and testing activities.
- Adheres to and follows non-conformance procedure by properly identifying/ marking product, initiating NCR reports, properly segregating product, following up to ensure timely disposition, and recordkeeping.
- Performs inspection & testing activities as identified in procedures and processes.
- Maintains identification and traceability, inspection & test status, & preservation of all product being manufactured or assembled.
- Maintains calibration of precision measuring tools.
- Always maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Responsible for following company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.
- Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job experience (years and type of experience):
Skills required:
- Prefer 3 – 5 years work experience as a QC Technician / Inspector in machine shop
environment.
- Prefer 1 – 3 years work experience as manual or CNC machinist.
- Experience with thread inspection and thread gauges (API, premium, or standard threading preferred).
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge and use of calibrated precision measuring tools to verify product dimensions.
- Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Knowledge and ability of reading engineering drawings, manufacturing work instructions, routing
documents, test reports, and industry standards to inspect or test materials, components, service,
or products for conformance to specifications.
- Documentation of inspection or test data such as quantities, measurements, and
quantities.
- Demonstrates safe work practices in complying with safety policies, rules, or procedures.
- Attention to detail oriented.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Works efficiently in meeting product quality and delivery.
- Analytical thinking – applies logic to solve problems and get the job done.
- Collaboration & teamwork in working with other departments.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
