Job Description/Duties
The quality technician would support the quality manager in daily operations in both the plating and painting departments, as well as help prepare/participate in audits. Some experience/knowledge of quality controls is preferred, but we will train in our procedures.
- Perform quality inspections and tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product dimensions and specifications.
- Document and maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and other relevant data.
- Collaborate with management to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Able to read blueprints would be a plus, or willing to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Review/edit job cards (travelers) to ensure the proper specs and procedures are being followed by the operator.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, other computer systems, and email.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges a plus.
- The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess good communication skills and be able drive continuous improvement in product quality.
