Quality Control Technician – Mobile Phones

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our mobile device refurbishing team. Your main responsibility will be to inspect, test, and grade smartphones according to our internal standards to ensure that only high-quality devices move to the next stage of production or to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete functional testing of smartphones (iOS & Android).
• Identify and document defects such as screen issues, housing damage, battery health concerns, camera faults, audio issues, etc.
• Grade devices according to company grading standards (A, B, C, D, etc.).
• Verify IMEI, model, storage, and authenticity of each device.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency across all grading decisions.
• Conduct final QC checks before packaging and shipping.
• Work closely with the Grading, Testing, and Repair teams to reduce errors and improve process flow.
• Report recurring issues, patterns, and quality trends to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all company procedures.

Requirements

• 1+ year experience in mobile phone quality control, testing, or repair (required).
• Strong knowledge of smartphone functions and common defects.
• Ability to identify screen defects (dots, shade, burn marks), battery issues, and hardware problems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and testing software.
• High attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to meet daily targets while maintaining accuracy.
• Basic computer skills for logging results and reports.
• Team-player mindset with good communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apple and Samsung devices.
• Experience in a refurbishing, repair, or warehouse environment.
• Understanding of ESD safety and handling procedures.
• Multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
