The Quality Coordinator/Risk Manager position is responsible for leading QI initiatives under the oversight of the CMO and ultimately the board. This position leads the QI committee, monitors quality (assurance) and implements change (improvement) while leading process improvement and patient safety initiatives. This position also oversees the Risk Management program, manages risk for the organization, and is responsible for meeting Federal Tort Claims Act deeming Risk Management requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

With the CMO and the quality committee and under the authority of the board, develop the ongoing short-term and long-term QI plan for the organization.

Oversee the daily QI activities for the organization including PDSA cycles, data generation and analysis, and overseeing the QI outreach staff.

Lead the quality committee including the monthly QI meetings.

Complete, with the CMO, the quarterly QI reports to the board and key management staff.

Compile monthly QI metrics to share with the QI committee and key leadership.

Oversee the collection and analysis of biannual satisfaction surveys in May and December.

Oversee the Risk Management Program as part of daily responsibilities including event reporting, coordinating training, monitoring RM goals, developing strategies to mitigate risk, and other activities as needed to keep the health center compliant with HRSA and FTCA requirements.

Lead the quarterly Risk Management meetings.

Complete quarterly Risk Management assessments consistent with the FTCA program requirements.

Track RM training for the organization and prepare the annual Risk Management Training calendar along with the CMO.

Special projects, including, but not limited to: FTCA application processing, UDS data collection, HEDIS data, specific grant reporting, etc.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

One to two years college preferred or one-year minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent computer skills required; MS Office Suite, Outlook

Knowledge of Electronic Health Records preferred.
