Quality Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to ensure that all furniture and joinery products meet internal and external quality standards. The role involves developing quality control processes, inspecting finished goods, and working closely with production teams to maintain consistency, reduce defects, and continuously improve manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Inspection:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance standards and procedures for all joinery and furniture production processes.
• Inspect incoming raw materials (e.g., veneers, laminates, hardware) to ensure they meet specified requirements.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of furniture and joinery items to identify defects and non-conformities.
• Approve/reject finished products with respect to quality standards and customer specifications.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and root causes of defects or inefficiencies.
• Work with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Recommend and assist in the implementation of process improvements to reduce waste, increase consistency, and optimize performance.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality reports.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering in a manufacturing environment; furniture or joinery experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of woodworking processes, finishes, adhesives, joinery techniques, and materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
