Quality Engineer

MAC Products, one of the premier mass transit and utilities manufacturers in the North Jersey area, is looking for a proactive Quality Engineer to join our team. You will be a key player in maintaining and improving the high standards of our manufacturing processes.

We need a self-motivated, hands-on professional unafraid to tackle problems and solve challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis and implement practical corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor and improve critical manufacturing processes, including brazing and welding.

• Conduct internal audits and lead process improvement projects.

• Provide technical support & training to QC inspectors and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.

• Collect and analyze quality data to drive proactive improvements.

• Some travel to customer or supplier sites may be required.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline.

• 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.

• Proven ability to perform dimensional inspections and mechanical testing of parts.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

• Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams or schematics.

• Familiarity with welding, brazing, or automation in manufacturing.

• Knowledge of statistical principles and statistical process control (SPC).
