Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as the supplier liaison and manage the supply chain for Distribution Centers and Manufacturing sites.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality and delivery requirements are met.
• Support quality reliability initiatives and product transition requirements.
• Participate in local quality audits and regulatory compliance audits.
• Maintain the Suppliers Quality Ranking System locally.
• Conduct supplier meetings to review performance metrics and manage process controls.
• Maintain accurate quality records, certifications, and database screens.
• Prioritize and resolve critical customer complaints related to delivered products.
• Support quality improvement projects at internal or external sites.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical/science field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier/supply chain quality roles. Experience with Distribution Centers and product manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of products, systems, and complex integrated solutions.
• In-depth understanding of quality standards and improvement methods.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; certification is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow through on plans.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid passport.

Preferred Skills:

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Minitab, and SAP.
• Familiarity with basic quality tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, Histogram).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
