Quality Engineer

Astra Metal Systems Pvt Ltd is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage supplier quality, audits, and continuous improvement activities. The role involves close coordination with suppliers, purchase, production, and internal quality teams to ensure consistent material quality and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and approve suppliers & vendors
• Conduct supplier audits and performance assessments
• Handle supplier non-conformities & corrective actions
• Ensure incoming material meets drawings and specifications
• Coordinate PPAP approvals and supplier quality improvements
• Work closely with Purchase, Production & Quality teams

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of sheet metal & fabrication processes
• Understanding of PPAP, APQP, FMEA & 7 QC Tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of ISO 9001
• Good communication and coordination skills
