We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer who thrives in a small manufacturing environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. This role goes beyond traditional quality responsibilities—you’ll be involved in process improvement, supplier quality, customer support, and occasional production troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to jump in wherever needed to ensure product quality and operational efficiency. This person will ensure product quality and timely communication with the customer and within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day customer expectations of ongoing quality requirements during normal production
- Manage the quality requirements of customer launches as it pertains to Events, APQP, PPAP and customer specific requirements
- Responding to corrective actions in a timely manner, which includes containment, recovery and resolution of the nonconformance.
- Recommend changes to production or quality processes
- Manage PPAPs and IMDS
- Participate in internal, supplier and customer audits
- Work with suppliers to help formulate quality standards
- Primary lead on all internal and external quality audits
- Lead cross functional teams and perform investigations to determine RCCA and preventive actions for nonconformances.
- Maintain the calibration system
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- B.S. degree or equivalent experience / education combination
- Minimum 5 years working in metals manufacturing environment preferred
- Recent college graduates are welcome to apply.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Knowledge of ISO, Core Tools
- Knowledge of IATF requirements
- Advance math skills (algebraic formulas, trigonometry)
- ASQ certification a plus
- Six Sigma training a plus
- Bilingual a plus but not required
- Able to read and comprehend engineering drawing
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
