Position Summary
At ChenMega, the Quality Engineer helps ensure products meet company and customer quality standards by supporting and improving quality control processes throughout production. This role monitors assembly operations through inspections, audits, and data analysis to identify issues and improve efficiency. The Quality Engineer investigates quality concerns, determines root causes, and helps implement corrective actions to reduce defects and prevent future issues. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this position plays a key role in maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures for assembly line operations.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of products and processes.
- Analyze quality data (scrap, rework, defects) and generate reports with actionable insights.
Process Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive reduction of defects, waste, and variation in assembly processes.
Root Cause Analysis:
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), and FMEA.
- Implement and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation of investigations and resolutions.
Location & Commitments
- 4660 Pine Timbers, Houston, TX 77041
- This is a full-time position.
- Hours are generally 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
