TUBACEX GROUP is currently looking for a Quality Engineer at our Greenville, Pennsylvania facility. Tubacex Group is one of the leading producers of seamless, stainless steel tubing products in the world. Operating in a 185,000 square foot facility, Salem Tube utilizes weld mills and cold draw benches to produce stainless steel and nickel alloy tubing from 1/8” to 2” od in over twenty-five different alloys that meet the highest quality standards.

Job Duties:

· Drive improvements in testing efficiency, accuracy, and capacity

· Review material testing specifications as they are updated from ASTM

· Make dispositions on non-conforming test results and products

· Work with Manufacturing to coordinate, and monitor production processes to ensure compliance to product, procedural and regulatory requirements and to ensure that quality products are produced

· Maintains and improves product quality by analyzing product, process and procedures, investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and manufacturing and training methods

· Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and process/equipment re-validations

· Work with Director of Quality / QA Manager to develop & execute plans (quality plan, risk management plan) and requirements (safety, functionality, regulatory, usability) to ensure provisions for quality are addressed and resolved

· Participate in complaint investigations, failure analysis of returned products, and issues resulting in a stop ship/stop production; document findings, and provide reports and analysis

· Monitoring incoming, in-process and final inspection as per the set criteria

· Supervises, coaches and guides Inspectors on product conformance

· Monitor welding mills, conduct dye penetration checks and destructive tests for welded tubes

· Supervise NDT techniques viz. ECT, UT etc.

· Additional activities as assigned

Requirements:

· Initiates and coordinates data collection

· Uses statistical methods for problem solving

· Sound knowledge of ASTM, ASME, SAE AS, DIN, EN standards

· Experience working with Stainless Steels and Nickel Alloys

· Knowledge of ET & UT, NDT Techniques an added asset

· Experience of Nuclear, Aerospace and Nadcap Quality Systems

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance
