Quality Engineer

SUMMARY

Seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer to support the current quality management system, AS9100D. This candidate must be a team player while adapting to a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities:

· Knowledge of metal fabrication and precision machining required.

· Creates inspection packages for monthly source inspections conducted by our customers.

· Execute investigations for failures and conduct/coordinate failure analysis, determining root causes, categorizing failures, and driving corrective action through supply chain and management team.

· Manages logs within Microsoft Teams pertinent to the QMS.

· Perform regular audits of internal processes.

· Conducts analysis of production data and reports to identify trends, evaluate performance, and recommend updates to quality standards and procedures when appropriate.

· Must be able to read and interpret part drawings along with GD&T. Reading welding symbols is preferred but not required.

· Knowledge of the Creaform Metrascan or like machine is a plus.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Qualification:

Must exhibit working knowledge of manufacturing processes and customer requirements associated with those processes. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills aligned with essential duties and responsibilities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering role required.
• ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100 experience required.
• FAI utilizing AS9102 forms required.
• Six Sigma and/or Lean-Kaizen experience is a plus.
• Experience with Job Boss software is a plus.
• Microsoft Office experience required.
