Quality Engineer - Oman

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections in coordination with the construction team, maintaining inspection records, and adhering to the daily inspection schedule. They will ensure that all site activities comply with project requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review all the projects’ specifications and shop drawings related to scope of work.
• Inspect the executed works against the project specifications, approved shop drawing, method of statement and Quality control standard procedures.
• Ensure all the delivered materials match with approved material submittals as well as the project specifications.
• Inspect corrected no conformances and close out internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) or those issued by the Engineer/Consultant.
• Participate in the preparation of the project method of statement, according to the project Quality Plan.
• Check and forward the Daily Inspection Request to the client after carrying out the internal inspection.
• Coordinate with the client's inspection team for final & approved inspections.
• Coordinate with the Site/Section Engineers to arrange daily inspection program.
• Prepare daily QC Inspection Report and submit it to Quality Control Team Leader.
• Ensure work is executed in accordance with the approved shop drawings, method statement and project specification.
• Initiate the NCR for any discrepancies or nonconformance activities for following up and submit it to the Quality Control Team Leader.
• Ensure awareness of On HOLD points as stated in the inspection and testing plan.

Qualifications

• Only candidates of Omani nationality are eligible.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years' of Construction / infrastructure experience
• Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry
• Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving
