Job Description:
The PCBA Inspector will be responsible for inspecting complex Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and subsystem assemblies in accordance with IPC standards and General Assembly Drawings. The role ensures that all deviations are accurately identified, documented, and resolved. The inspector will prepare inspection reports and coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure that all boards meet acceptance criteria
Roles and Responsibility:
- Inspect complex PCB assemblies and subsystem assemblies as per IPC standards and General Assembly Drawings (GAD).
- Identify, document, and report deviations or non-conformities during inspection.
- Ensure corrective actions are taken to address the detected deviations.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve inspection issues.
- Work closely with customers during inspection stages to ensure boards meet acceptance criteria.
- Ensure First Article Inspection (FAI) is performed accurately as per organizational standards.
- Support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) activities by providing inspection-related inputs.
- Maintain high attention to detail and uphold quality standards throughout the inspection process.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality function.
Mandatory Skill Set:
- Strong knowledge of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) and electronic systems.
- Good understanding of IPC-A-610H workmanship standards (Certification preferred).
- Excellent ability to identify and detect deviations, defects, and workmanship issues.
- Knowledge of FAI (First Article Inspection) process.
- Understanding of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret Assembly Drawings, Schematics, and Inspection Guidelines.
- High level of attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Desired Skill Set:
- IPC-A-610H Certified Specialist (CIS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in customer-facing inspection activities.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or high‑reliability electronics manufacturing.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Basic understanding of ESD, soldering processes, and component identification
