Performs the review of the internal non-conformance processes to include review of all nonconformance reports. Performs data analysis of nonconformance reports. Works directly with work center managers to perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions. Monitors and drives closure of nonconformance reports. Completes Production Failure Mode and Effects Analysis reports as needed. Leads Gage R&R studies.
Performs data analysis of manufacturing operations at all levels of parts, raw materials and maintenance operations to ensure quality standards are met. Usually serves as a member of the Statistical Analysis Team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Ø Retrieve data from ERP system for analysis.
Ø Reviews customer delivery data.
Ø Review Supplier data for DPPM and QPPM performance.
Ø Updates documentation required for conformance to customer specifications and / or internal procedures.
Ø Reviews and communicates internal manufacturing non-conformance data to respective managers or shift supervisors, via charts and graphs to determine trends or necessity for corrective action.
Ø Performs root cause analysis as needed.
Ø Drives corrective action as needed.
Ø Reviews and communicates supplier non-conformance data to respective purchasing managers or Engineering Managers, to determine trends or necessity for corrective action.
Ø Manages corrective actions when needed.
Ø Audits supplier processes.
Ø Sustain SSQA and ISO data management.
Ø Cross-train on an as needed basis.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Ø Requires ability to learn and use basic software applications including, but not limited to MS Office, ERP software, and various types of Quality Management software.
Ø Requires knowledge of Inspector III level inspection techniques acquired through a minimum of 5 years of increasing experience in production manufacturing.
Ø Requires ability to understand and / or obtain training in basic Statistical Process Control (SPC), inclusive of capability studies, attribute chartings and variable chartings.
Ø Well versed in the use of Production Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø Hands on knowledge of sheet metal and machining operations.
Ø Requires mathematical ability normally acquired through high school education or equivalent.
Ø Requires knowledge of basic software applications including, but not limited to MS Office.
Ø Requires communications, writing and reading ability normally acquired through high school education to be placed in successful usage to all levels of management.
Ø Requires physical ability to perform normal activities common to the inspection trade, including lifting up to 30 lbs., and the ability to hold and measure parts.
Ø Requires ability to use judgment to obtain accurate and precise measurements for determining acceptance and rejection based upon use of drawings, procedures, specifications and appearance.
Ø Overall ability to be accurate and expedient, thus avoiding substantial losses of material, labor, defective parts or late shipments being shipped to the customer.
Ø Requires the ability to clean and use care in the day to day usage and cleaning of inspection tools. Neglect could result in inaccurate inspection or parts and damage or loss of tools.

Ø Should work with all manufacturing, materials and other departmental employees closely.
