Quality Inspector

Nehemiah Holdings, Doing Business As Cable Quest and Apogee Controls, is seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. This is a full-time, in‑person position based primarily at our Apogee Controls, Warner Robins, GA facility.

Scope
The Quality Auditor ensures all products meet required standards by performing inspections, maintaining accurate quality records, and supporting continuous improvement throughout the production process. This position must also be available for overtime and non scheduled work hours to meet customer production and shipping requirements.

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn Good Manufacturing Practices, and IPC Quality Standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing inspection tools (i.e., Caliper, Micrometer, Digital Multimeter, Hipot tester, Continuity tester).
  • Ability to perform activities in support of product development, administration, and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role or equivalent.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for 8-hour workdays and lift 30lb box.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Performing Final Inspection to provide Release Authorization to ship.
  • Identifying and recording of any product quality problem.
  • Providing training or directions for production Associates.
  • Initiating and/or making suggestions to improve working processes or products (i.e., quality, productivity, etc.)
  • Set-up and/or organize QC workstations and receiving quarantine area.
  • Reviewing and auditing of quality records and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform In-Coming inspection, In-Process inspection, and Final inspection activities plus associated PC data entry.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and electrical inspections of in-process and finished components, subassemblies, and products.
  • Finished goods cosmetic and functional inspection.
  • Maintain inspection and test records.
  • Assist in investigations of process related quality issues, writing Corrective Action Reports.
  • Assist in product design verifications and process qualifications/validations.
  • Perform other QA and related activities as assigned.
  • Assist DPME in maintenance and co-ordination of the calibration system.
  • Perform routine quality audits.
  • First article report generation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand, sit, and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, and climb.
  • Able to push, pull, and lift from up to 30lbs and occasionally 50lbs.
  • Able to use hands repetitively for up to 8 hours; grasping, turning, and fine manipulation.
  • Able to use a variety of hand tools and operate machinery for up to 8 hours.
  • Able to read, write, measure, and distinguish color.
  • Able to wear all required Personal Protection Equipment such as safety goggles and closed-toed shoes while on the production floor.

  • GO/NO GO on shipment of product with respect to conformance to customer requirements.
  • Prioritization of resources to meet customer requirements for on time delivery.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Quality inspection in a manufacturing company: 2 years (Required)
